Dairy Farm's ThreeSixty Concept Opens in Hong Kong
On September 14, 2006, the api(+)-designed ThreeSixty at The Landmark opened in the heart of Central Hong Kong's highend mixed-used project, a development by the Jardine Matheson Group. Dairy Farm International unveiled its 23,000 square foot new food retail concept store which is based on the ideal of championing the well-being of people and the planet. api(+) created an upscale environment offering groceries, prepared foods, and environmentally friendly household goods sourced from traditional artisans and producers around the world.
Dairy Farm International called upon api(+)'s multicultural expertise to support ThreeSixty's initial marketing position to "Change the World One Bite at a Time." This translates from large world concepts and global climate change into renewable resources, child nutrition, sustainable con- sumption, fair trade practices, and the power of the individual to make a positive impact in their own lives and the world around them.
"This project was an interesting exploration of the relationship between the concepts of urbanism and nature. This balancing act positioned the purity of materials, and organic forms against the dramatic energy and pace of the city. Our goal was to give each design element a twist to validate ThreeSixty's uniqueness in the Hong Kong market." says Ryan Martin , LEED AP, Graphics, api(+).
api(+) based its design not only on a unique product-centric concept in organic and natural products but also on the changing demographic's desire for a healthy lifestyle. ThreeSixty provides a one-stop destination for Hong Kong's busy professionals: people who aspire to a healthy lifestyle, people who have special dietary needs, people who are true foodies and love to cook and eat at home, and people who love to experiment with different cuisines from around the world.
api(+)'s prototype design for Dairy Farm's ThreeSixty market in Hong Kong has been implemented in a second location following the success of its original Landmark location. ThreeSixty, an upscale health and fresh foods market, is the first of its kind in Hong Kong.
