Auto Mercado Wins SADI Award

api(+) designed Auto Mercado was recently honored in the Superior Achievement in Design & Imaging (SADI) awards competition, recognizing outstanding architectural achievement in retail environments.

Auto Mercado received an honorable mention in the category of New or Renovated Retail Stores, more than 5,000 sq. ft. api(+)’s repositioning for the Costa Rican grocery retailer has proven so effective that the competition has declared it the best supermarket in Central America.

The SADI Award has long been recognized as the industry's most respected and coveted design tribute, honoring retail designs that successfully balance form and function to create imaginative environments for consumers. In June of this year, Retail Traffic magazine and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) announced that the AIA will partner with the publication in a variety of ways, including the judging and presenting of the winners in this year's 18 th annual SADI awards competition.
